The origin
Driven by the faculty of the University of Oviedo, the first drone workshops at the Gijón School of Engineering were launched in 2015. There, university students have the opportunity to assemble, configure, and pilot their very first drone.
The workshops were such a success that the Drone4Students association was founded to ensure that students receive ongoing training in this field in a practical and engaging way.
The workshops have become an annual event where students can continue their training and apply the knowledge they’ve gained in their coursework in a hands-on environment. It is precisely this practical, learn-by-doing approach—free from the fear of making mistakes—that has turned the association into a place where students share experiences, teach one another how to avoid common pitfalls, support each other through various challenges, and work as a team.
The ten previous editions only confirm that the Drone4Students Workshops are the ideal place to grow in the world of engineering.

¿Quién puede participar?
Las jornadas de drones están abiertas a todo estudiante de la Universidad de Oviedo.
¿Cuándo se celebran?
Este año se realizarán de forma intensiva en dos fines de semana.
Se decidirán las fechas en función del calendario académico para que no coincidan con fechas importantes del curso.
¿Es necesario algún conocimiento para participar?
¡No! Nosotros explicaremos todo desde el nivel más básico asi que no tienes que preocuparte… y si ya sabes algo de electrónica, drones, programación no te preocupes que te buscaremos retos para que tus jornadas sean tambien una experiencia inolvidable.
¿Hay plazas limitadas?
Sí, para poder dar las jornadas con el nivel que queremos tenemos que limitar las plazas para un máximo de 10 estudiantes.
¿Me puedo apuntar solo?
Sí, te puedes apuntar tanto solo como en grupo. Las jornadas se realizan en grupos de 3-4 personas, si ya tienes un grupo de este tamaño genial, si no te lo hacemos nosotros.
¿Qué drones se construyen?
Este año se realizarán drones de 5" orientados a FreeStyle o Carreras.
